  Absolutely wonderful place, food was amazing, staff were all extremely polite and helpful. Bar staff were also amazing!
  This should be a 4 star - I was hesitant to stay with kids when I found out this was a 3 star, usually we stay in 4/5*, however I have been pleasantly surprised! Family room was spacious. My only small issue is that some fixtures are a little tired and in need of replacement.
  
  We attended a wedding at the place hence our weekend stay and I have to say it just felt like we were in a huge house filled with friends and family. The hotel and other guest were very accommodating and allowed us to get on with it.

  À great place to stay for a weekend break with very helpful staff who will help make your stay a good one..the food in the restaurant was cooked beautifully all fresh tasting and served with a smile. But the rooms are very dated and looking at little tired as are some of the furnishings around the hotel.but saying that I would not let that put you off visiting my only bad thing to say is the hotel could really do with a pool or spa. I think this would easily give the hotel a well deserved 4 stars .

  Room was very nice how ever very hot and there was no fan.
  
  Checking in was terrible room was meant to be ready for 3 we got there and was told to wait 30 minutes by the receptionist. Waited 30 minutes and still havent been informed even though im sat in reception. So i ask him is it ready and he asks room service and they said the room will be ready in another 30 minutes.
  
  Completely unprofessional.
  
  Considering it was only a night stay I valued my time in the peak district considering as well I live 3 hours away. This whole situation left me feeling very unsatisfied.

  We had room 1 and it was beautiful! It had a lovely big bed with double aspect windows looking out onto the fields. The bathroom was very luxurious with a bath and a wet room. Breakfast was self-service but varied.
